Metropolitan Soccer partnered with Girls Scouts of Central Indiana to run two summer soccer camps for over 200 children 5 to 14 years old in blocks of 50 children each. The camps were provided at the Dellwood Camp on the west side of Indianapolis. Staff members of Metropolitan Soccer were very enthusiastic to give these children the opportunity to expereince the beautiful game of soccer and learn the basics - passing, controlling, dribbling and shooting... and of course, they had the chance to play some matches to put in action what they learned. The activity provided more than just learning soccer.
"It is important for Metropolitan Soccer to give children the opportunity to learn values that will help them build their character as they become adults. We believe that if we are intentional with addressing these values, children will leave the camp with the seed that they need to remember what needs to be done in order for them to become not only good soccer players, but extraordinary human beings, which is our focus," Metropolitan Soccer's Founder and Director, stated.
Members and families from Girls Scouts of Central Indiana enjoyed the deliverables to their childre as they noticed a lot of enthusiasm from the participants.
